Two Accelerated Paths to Your Degree and ATP. You Decide the Path That’s Right for You.

Is your ambition to be a professional pilot? Our bachelor’s degree in professional flight prepares you with a broad knowledge of the aviation industry and offers all your nonflight courses 100% online.

Graduate in 2 to 3 Years with Transfer Credit

  • Complete flight training in 10–15 months
  • Begin working as a flight instructor in your freshman or sophomore year
  • Accumulate flight hours for your ATP

Graduate in 3 Years or Less

  • Complete flight training in 15 to 24 months
  • Begin working as a flight instructor in your sophomore or junior year
  • Accumulate flight hours for your ATP

Earn Credit Toward Your Degree

Earn credit for your industry certifications and receive a tuition reduction on your remaining courses.

You could earn up to 45 credits toward your bachelor’s degree—that’s a total savings of $18,420 if you already possess the following certifications:

  • Private Pilot Certification
  • Instrument Rating
  • Commercial Pilot Certificate
  • Flight Instructor Certificate
  • Multiengine Rating

You may also receive a 20% tuition reduction on the remaining courses after transferring your certifications — that’s an additional savings of $10,017.

Already a captain or first officer with a part 121 or 135 operator and thinking about obtaining your degree? You can receive up to 80 transfer credits based on your flight training and certifications — saving you time and money.

Total savings of $18,420 includes cost of tuition for transferred credits and Resource Fee. Further savings of $10,017 also includes cost of tuition for transferred credits.

NOTES AND CONDITIONS - PLEASE READ

Bachelor of Science in Professional Flight: Students are required to submit a first-class medical clearance and proof of citizenship through a Purdue Global approved flight training partner prior to enrollment at Purdue Global. International (non-U.S. citizen) students who wish to enroll must complete a TSA clearance check and obtain an M-1 Visa through one of our U.S. flight training alliance schools that offers these services.

Certification Exams: Students are responsible for understanding the requirements of certification exams. The University cannot guarantee students will be eligible to sit for or pass exams. In some cases, work experience, additional coursework beyond the Purdue Global program, fieldwork, and/or background checks may be necessary to be eligible to take or to successfully pass the exams. You must pass additional exams offered by independent certification agencies to become certified in this field. For more information consult an Admissions Advisor.

Completion Time: This program is relatively new and thus historical data regarding time to completion are not available. Completion time estimates based on a full-time schedule: 3 years, 2 courses per term; 2 years, 3 courses per term; and transferring in 45 credits from 5 certifications. Programs will take longer for part-time students to complete.

Employment and Career Advancement: Purdue Global does not guarantee employment placement or career advancement. Actual outcomes vary by geographic area, previous work experience and opportunities for employment.

Transfer Credits: See the University Catalog for Prior Learning policy. Tuition and Fees for the Bachelor of Science in Professional Flight: Flight time and training are not eligible for federal financial aid. Refer to the program’s tuition and fees for details.

Books and course materials are included in the price of tuition for all undergraduate courses.
