What is the fastest route to obtaining a nursing degree from GCU?

The time it takes to earn an online1 nursing degree depends on your previous education and individual schedule. Eligible RN-to-BSN candidates who want to earn an MSN can accelerate their nursing education by choosing the BSN-to-MSN Fast-Track Option. Those who qualify can complete two graduate-level courses from their chosen MSN emphasis as electives toward meeting the BSN requirements.

Can I complete the MSN degree fully online?1

All nursing degrees require some form of direct clinical experience or practicum that allows students to demonstrate achievement of clinical competency at the baccalaureate or master’s levels. For many online1 nursing programs, students complete clinical requirements in local community facilities. Many students find these experiences can enhance their knowledge of leadership and public health and lead to meaningful change in their local health organization or community.

I knew as soon as I graduated with a BSN in nursing that I would continue to advance in nursing by one day returning to school. Grand Canyon University’s program provides me with the flexibility to continue to work in a career I love while pursuing an advanced degree. I am able to complete classes by having the hybrid online and in-classroom experience. I look forward to the challenges and experience this next year will provide in bringing me one step closer to my degree.”
