GI Bill® Programs

Many GI Bill programs are available to veterans, active-duty service members, spouses, and dependents. The options include the Post-9/11 GI Bill, Forever GI Bill, Montgomery GI Bill, and Selected Reserves GI Bill.

Yellow Ribbon Program

Earn your degree with no out-of-pocket expense to you. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) will match MU’s contribution dollar for dollar, up to 50% of the difference between the student’s tuition benefit and the net cost of tuition. Our contributions are unrestricted Methodist University General Scholarship funds.

Tuition Assistance

Eligible service members who have run out of Tuition Assistance through attendance at Methodist University are eligible to have tuition waived for up to three courses a year!

Spousal Benefits

Spouses of service members may be eligible for up to $4,000 in tuition assistance through the MYCAA program.

Military Student Support Services

  • The Methodist University Office of Veteran Services and the Fort Liberty Education Services Office help military-affiliated students determine eligibility for a variety of education benefits and start the benefits process, apply for financial aid, and order military transcripts. They also provide resources to support students’ other needs.
  • Student Veterans of America helps support veterans in their transition from the military to academia and into their chosen career field through a peer-to-peer network. In partnership with community organizations such as Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Wounded Warrior Project, the SVA-MU participates in fundraising projects to assist local and national veterans.
